"I loved the setting in this Death on the Alder - Grant's Crossing, a small town with an old house across the bridge that's a home to a group of elderly people who have their own ideas on how to spend their retirement. In charge of these oldsters is a young couple, Alysha and Jeff, who have a special interest in alpaca farming and solving the mystery of the bodies pulled from the Alder River. I will definitely read the next book in the series." Gloria Ferris - Award Winning Author

MAY 2019 - Lightning Strike is the second book in the Dorothy Dennehy Mystery Series and features many of the same characters introduced in The Silk Shroud. It will be available on line, in print, and in e-book form.
Early reviews: "Like the first book in the series, this is a page turner you won’t be able to put down. Bravo!" - Taylor Jones. And "Lighting Strike, like The Silk Shroud, is well written, fast paced, and intense—a marvelous whodunit you won’t be able to stop reading." - Regan Murphy
"You ladies managed to get me to appreciate the twist in the story, and to elicit so many emotions as I made my way through the book. Well done. It is not every author who can take you on an emotional ride such as this. I now will be waiting to see what you have in mind for Dorothy and everyone else. By the way I am so happy to see how Max played an important role in the storyline. "
Keep on writing ladies.

"I finished the book over the long weekend and all I can say is wow. Actually reread it so excuse my delay in responding. I could not put it down! You both should be really proud, it was amazing. I was hooked straight away, I adored the characters in Silk Shroud and did not think I could like them more but truly I did. The way you share their relationships made me enjoy it even more, they were genuine and I felt invested in solving this along with them. We need more novels with strong, smart and determined female characters like Dorothy. As the story evolved, I really thought I had it figured out - actually a few times I thought I had it figured out- but I didn’t. I was hooked, it really was a page turner, it is so well written and I really enjoyed it."

The Silk Shroud - Reviews and Accolades
Hi Pam, well that's the book finished, looking forward to the next one. It always amazes me how you authors think, I don't have an imagination like that its just great. I really enjoyed it, thought it was very clever and look forward to the next one. I like how you finished with the new partnership ready and raring to go. Just one thing, they seemed to drink an awful lot of coffee, too much is no good for you, just sayin'. Raymond James Feb 22 2017

The Silk Shroud is my first murder mystery; however, it won't be my last, since the final pages suggest a sequel. From the first couple of chapters, I was hooked. There was no way that I could have predicted the plot.
The subject matter seems to be very relevant in today's world. I started thinking about the number of artifacts that are hidden away in wealthy homes, some legitimate and some not, that are not necessarily in their country of origin, that have been bought either on the black market or on the grey market. In our world of virtual reality, can we discern between the counterfeit and the authentic?
For those romantic hearts, two developing relationships call for a sequel. Will they have a Yoko and a
Kimi? I will definitely be adding The Silk Shroud to my book club list for the fall.

This is so not my genre that I had every expectation not to enjoy it.
However, I can appreciate a good book when I read one so I wanted to see what the hype was about. I have done this before, and regretted it. Not this time. I really rather enjoyed this from the start... becoming engaged with the very sympathetic and believable main characters only a few chapters in. I am usually critical of dialogue and often find myself poo-poohing sentences with ill concealed contempt, literally shouting 'nobody would say that!', in books that i soon put away as unreadable.
Again... not this time. The story flows the way you want it to with some really rather ingenious litte plots causing unexpected twists and turns that lard the whole with such complications you really wonder how it can possibly be resolved... but it all comes right and not a trick is missed. This is a collaboration, not often seen to such a great degree of smooth flowing writing... Nicci French springs to mind, I'm sure there are others. But this is good. Really rather good, and I'm very glad I picked it up. I was left wanting more and really hope we all get some.

This novel grabs your attention from the very first page. There is no end to the excitement which includes: Geisha dolls, antiques, espionage, romance, kidnapping, and murder. I enjoyed the characters and look forward to their further adventures as they join together to continue solving crimes – possibly in an international locale.
Congratulations, Jamie Tremain, on a successful first novel. I’m looking forward to the next installment.
